Inspection platform with configurable forms, a field app and reports.

Technologies
PHP / Yii2Ionic / AngularC# / SQL Server

Inspections in the field

Field inspections need forms, phone features and business data to work together, with records available for review and reports.

Forms, app and reports

InspectApp connects a forms platform, a field app and report generation, with central data in SQL Server.

What makes up the solution

My work at InspectApp I develop the project with Alcimar Bonomi and Breno Soares. I currently work as a software architect at InspectApp.

My contribution

I am a co-founder and software architect at InspectApp. I develop the platform with Alcimar Bonomi and Breno Soares: web forms, a field app, APIs and .NET/C# reports.

How the system is organized

PHP/Yii2 web and APIs, Angular/Ionic/Capacitor field app and .NET/C# report generation, with central data in SQL Server.

Technical structure

Technology by module.

The forms platform and field app share data contracts, with different server and device technologies.

01 / Existing

System

PHPYii2JavaScriptBootstrap

Web platform, forms and endpoints.

Controllers, models, services, components and commands separate presentation, operations, reusable components and server routines.

02 / Existing

Reports

.NETC#

InspectApp report generation.

A dedicated .NET/C# component for report generation, alongside the PHP/Yii2 web platform and field app.

03 / Existing

Mobile app

TypeScriptAngularIonicCapacitor

Android/iOS field application.

Angular/Ionic interface with device access through Capacitor and plugins, including camera, files and local storage.

04 / Existing

Data and integrations

SQL ServerSQLHTTP / JSONSQLite

Central storage and field communication.

SQL Server supports the business system. The app uses SQLite adapters for local data. Sync connects local state to the server.

How the parts connect

The PHP/Yii2 web platform and field app connect to platform services. Report generation has its own .NET/C# component. Central storage and device features stay in their own layers.

Data and integrations

Central data in SQL Server and local app storage. Access rules, client context and contract compatibility are part of the integration.

Quality and operations

Web, server services and Android/iOS apps have separate release cycles. GitHub Actions manages staging and production, with checks and rollback for each environment.
