Chats, presence and real-time communication.

Technologies
GoFlutterWebSocket

My contribution

I created and developed ToOn: a Flutter app, React panel and Go API. My work covers real-time communication, private media, notifications and Render hosting.

How the system is organized

A Flutter app and React panel use a Go API. WebSocket, private media and notifications have separate components.

Technical structure

Technology by module.

App, API and web share the communication experience, with real-time transport separate from storage.

API and real-time communication

GoPostgreSQLpgxRedisWebSocket

API and real-time communication.

Authentication, contact, conversation and message modules use HTTP, WebSocket, database and storage adapters.

02 / Existing

Mobile app

FlutterDartSQLCipherWebSocketFirebase

Communication application.

Mobile interface, encrypted local storage and notification and real-time transport integrations.

03 / Existing

System

ReactTypeScriptVite

Product web surface.

React navigation and interface composition, using API contracts.

How the parts connect

Web and app communicate with the API. WebSocket handles real-time events. Persistent history and media storage have separate roles.

Data and integrations

PostgreSQL stores central data; Redis supports operations. Private media uses S3-compatible storage in Cloudflare R2, as documented in operations. SQLCipher provides encrypted local app storage.

Quality and operations

The Go API runs in Docker on Render, with PostgreSQL and Redis services. GitHub Actions and separate checks support API, web and app updates.
